Kampala capital city has been invaded by a subtle eternal security Gospel by the so called Phaneroo ministry. This ministry has attracted young people especially from Universities around Kampala. These guys are preaching the once saved always saved gospel. They are largely silent about the danger of sin in born again Christians. They argue that you do not need to worry about your sin because Christ imputed his righteousness unto you. They emphase miracles, healings , climbing to the next level and prosperity. They preach love, love and grace, grace and grace. I warn young people about this movement. Stay in a church that will preach purity, holiness, dying to the self and the danger of carnality in born again believers. This might make you a little bit uncomfortable but it will save your soul. The gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ is blasphemed among the gentiles because of carnal movements like phaneroo that make ‘born again’ Christians carnal, sensual and sin infested like children of the world. The reason why Felix refuses to give his life to Christ is because Paul's words appeared to scare him into the kingdom. Many people who were scared into the kingdom this way have never had the opportunity to fall in love with God. Eventually, along the way, those men always walk out and 'backslide' because it was fear that drew them to Him.
God shows us how it works in the account of how Philip ministered to the Ethiopian eunuch. The Bible says; Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him JESUS. And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? (Acts 8:35-36).
Philip spoke of Jesus, the lamb laid down for our sins; he that loved us enough to die even while we were yet sinners.
This is the gospel that works. Every time men are scared into the kingdom, the devil will try to lure them out with a delusion of love. When he says if he be lifted up then he draws men to himself (John 12:32), the Christ lifted up demonstrates mercy and love, never judgment against men. The true gospel is that God did not deal with us as He should have but as He loved. (John 3:16). That gospel can convert a man even before you make an altar call. Praise Him!

PRAYER: Father, your love overwhelms me. It washes over me in incessant waves every moment of my life. My waking and sleeping thoughts are awash with this grace that you have bestowed so freely. I rest in the knowledge that it is through loving kindness that you have drawn me. I am established in this understanding every day. My expectation from you is not wrath; it is love, love and more love. In Jesus' name. Amen.
