On 31st December, 2014 , Pentecostals in Uganda flooded Namboole, Nakivubo and Kololo airstrip to welcome the new year 2015. Bishop David Kiganda presided over the festival at Nakivubo stadium under the theme, ‘HEADS NOT TAILS(Deut 28:13), Pastor Joseph Serwadda presided over the festival at Namboole stadium under the theme : HELP IS ON THE WAY(Isaiah 41:13), Pastor Jackson Senyonga presided over the Kololo festival under the theme,’’ PREPARE TO BE SURPRISED’’2 Kings 7:5.7& Joel 2:21) . There is nothing wrong with welcoming the new year in the presence of God however these new year eve Pentecostal festivals have turned into ponzi schemes to merchandise the saints of God.

These pastors are ‘smart’ just like their American prosperity cronies; they come up with sweet prosperity themes that attract people to their festivals and massively advertise these festivals on their radio stations for over two months. The purpose of these advertisements is TO MIND CONTROL PEOPLE just like coca-cola or Pepsi. They make cards which the faithfuls get free of charge but on these cards they tell the faithfuls to write their prayer requests on these cards and enclose an offering together with the prayer requests .

This is blasphemy of the highest order because it implies bribing God to answer your prayer requests. The money in these envelopes is never accounted for. They will never tell you how much they collected in offerings and what it was used for. That is why they really like President Museveni because he never taxes their loot and never reprimands them for robbing the poor.

They get a lot of money every end of year but will never account , how much they got and what it was used for. If born again Christians are children of light, how comes these pastors do not want to bring this money into light?? Why do they hide this money under darkness?? If secular institutions are supposed to account, how about Christian institutions??
