From the onset, one may think that they are Muslims. Both men and women dress in white, and cover their heads in the way Muslims do.
They constructed a number of huts, similar to shrines used by witch-doctors, and three ponds were dug in their premises, with the purpose of cleansing new converts. Their main prayer house is grass-thatched, decorated with portraits of Jesus Christ and Virgin Mary, with copies of the Qur’an and Bible all over the place.
Verses of the holy Qur’an are also pinned up on the walls of this all-white house. At some moments, you can see them prostrating in the same way Muslims do in mosques. Unlike Muslims who recite a number of prayers while bowing, these don’t say a word. When a follower shows up, they move nine times around a fire at the entrance, before they proceed to make a complete bath, remove all clothes and dress up in white.
This is the cult with over 100 followers in Mwalo village in Kyabakuza, at the outskirts of Masaka municipality. It is the cult whose leader, Pascazia Nakafeero, stopped her followers from participating in the recent national census until enumerators invaded the place with armed policemen and forced them to take part.
Vision
Nakafeero claimed to have received a vision from angel Gabriel some time back. She was, allegedly, instructed to heal people using the water she collected from Lakes Kyoga, Victoria and George and she put in ponds.
“That angel came to me in a night vision and confirmed to me that his name is Gabriel as referred to by the Christians and Gibril, the Muslim way. He instructed me to respect everyone who comes to me and stopped me from eating pork or going anywhere near a grave,” Nakafeero said.
For anyone to become a follower, he or she is required to pay Shs 50, 000, and Nakafeero said the response was positive.
“At first, no one was paying, but later, angel Gabriel set up a fee of Shs 1,500 which rose to Shs 50, 000,” Nakafeero explained.
When Masaka Resident District Commissioner Linos Ngompek learnt of Nakafeero’s activities, he stormed the place and demanded to know what was going on. He, together with a team of other security people, inspected all the huts and found nothing scaring, apart from the ponds. Asked what the name of her cult was, Nakafeero said she did not have a specific name for this ‘religion’, but all that she knew was that it was started on the instructions of angel Gabriel.
“He [Gabriel] usually comes to me during the night and tells me what would happen the following day,” Nakafeero told Ngompek, adding that she knew about his visit to the premises from the vision she had received the previous night.
Cautioned
After washing their bodies completely, followers put on white clothes and cover their heads. They then head for the biggest hut, remove their shoes and stand around the central pole inside the hut. Prayers start by singing all the stanzas of Ekitiibwa kya Buganda, followed by hymns from the Catholic Church.
Nakafeero told The Observer that she respected all government programmes and she did not have any intentions of opposing the national census or the national ID project. She, however, did not explain why her followers were only counted after the police’s intervention. After carrying out the inspection, Ngompek said he would present this cult’s issue to the next district security committee meeting and discuss the way forward.
“The first mistake these people made is keeping their children in the shrines at the time when they are supposed to be at school,” Ngompek said, adding that Nakafeero’s activities had to be monitored closely to avoid people losing their lives like the case was in Kanungu, when Kibwetere and his group burnt hundreds of people.

You’d think the Catholic Church would be more supportive of its faith healing clergy members. A couple of days ago, Bishop John Baptist Kaggwa of Masaka, Uganda, suspended local Sacristan Mr. Barnabas Kazibwe Mutume from his priestly duties. Why? Because of his purported ability to heal the sick and downtrodden with prayer. News of Mutume’s miraculous healing powers has spread by word of mouth, causing those in need of medical attention to try out spiritual healing in desperation. And thousands of all denominations have flocked to his makeshift church to be healed.
What is his secret healing method you ask? He simply prays for them, reciting holy words familiar to the Catholic Faith. But he also encourages them to pray for themselves, giving other Catholics prayers to recite on their own and encouraging Muslims and Protestants to pray in their own way.
Protestants and Muslims and faith healers, oh my! Needless to say, all this interfaith hubbub did not sit well with the Catholic Church. According to the Sunday Monitor:
John Baptist Kaggwa…says [Mutume's] healing powers are not in line with the Catholic doctrine and that he is increasingly finding it hard to guide him…On March 14, bishop Kaggwa put a ban on the pilgrimages by all Catholics, warning that whoever goes there to pray or to seek help would be suspended from sacramental life and in the event of their death no Catholic prayers would be said during their burial.Harsh Kaggwa, real harsh. Even so, there are no shortage of healed people willing to vouch for Mutume’s gift from god, even if the Pontiff and his posse aren’t down with it. The Church put together a crack squad of priests to monitor the miracles of Mutume and in part, based their ban on lack of substantiating evidence that Mutume’s miracles heal anyone, making the Catholic authorities the unlikely skeptics.

THE Masaka social services committee has provisionally approved the operation of a cult based in Kyasonko village in Kyamaganda parish. Inspecting the cult’s camp, the team led by David Bbaale said it was relatively clean, had several toilets and was close to a well.
The delegation which included the district health officer, Dr. Stuart Musisi, found over 300 followers of the self-styled prophet, Barnabas Kazibwe at the camp guarded by a team of Government security agencies.
The camp hosts people with mental illnesses, HIV/AIDS and those seeking wealth. The resident district commissioner, Bamusedde Bwambale, however, said the security committee would make a ruling over the matter next week.
We deployed security to gather intelligence information regarding the cult which will determine its fate, he said.
Bishop John Baptist Kaggwa of Masaka Diocese recently cautioned Christians against joining the cult. He claimed that Kazibwe was a false prophet.
Such people who claim to have visions with the Virgin Mary are not acceptable under the Catholic faith.
Honor «god» and Queen of Heaven
Many Catholic faithful are disturbed when they see the Pope kissing the Koran. But this act by the Pontiff is not strange at all. Because the Vatican and Islam basically worship the same «god». They also have common views on the pagan Queen of Heaven.
The Roman Catholic faith and the Muslim faith is also in agreement in regards to Jesus the Son of Mary. They basically serve the same «Jesus». The problem is that non of them serve Jesus as God, God the Son, the only way to our Father God in Heaven.
In Islam Jesus the Son of Mary is only a prophet, who can not even save him self. In the Roman Catholic Faith, their «Jesus» is the Son of the Mother of God, the pagan Queen of Heaven. «Jesus of Rome» is not the only begotten Son of God the Father. Who does not have a «wife», or a Queen of Heaven by his side.
Both the «Catholic Jesus» and the «Jesus of Islam» are deceptions, copy-cats of the Jewish Jesus of Nazareth.
When Rome and Islam meet to Interfaith gatherings, they have a lot more in common than most Christians are aware of. Many Christians knows that the Catholics have elevated Mary the Catholic to be «forever virgin», to become the Mother of God, called to be worship as the pagan Queen of Heaven. But few Christians know that Muslim also have the same adoration for this woman.
First, the Koran portrays Jesus Christ as a prophet, unique in His preincarnate nature, miraculous birth, miracles and moral stature. Muslims revere Jesus Christ. As the Koran states:
The angels said to Mary:
Surah 3:45-3:46.
«Allah bids you rejoice in a Word from Him. His name is the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary. He shall be noble in this world and in the world to come, and shall be one of those who are favored. He shall preach to men in his cradle and in the prime of manhood, and shall lead a righteous life.”
It is interesting to note that in the Koran, Jesus is almost exclusively referred to as «Jesus son of Mary», and absolutely not the «Son of God» The Koran vehemently denies that Jesus is the Son of God, yet it holds both Jesus and Mary in high esteem.
Muslims consider Mary the greatest of all women.Furthermore, Muhammad is reported to have said that Mary reached the «level of perfection».
Mary is mentioned no less than 34 times in the Koran. In addition, the 19th surah (chapter) of the Koran is named after her. Based on these facts alone, it is apparent that «Our Lady» is surely seen as blessed above all women by orthodox Muslims. Please, consider the following two quotes taken directly from the Koran:
And remember the angels’ words to Mary. They said: “[Allah] has chosen you. He has made you pure and exalted you above womankind.”
Surah 19:30-32.
«Whereupon [Jesus] spoke and said: “I am the servant of [Allah]. He has given me the Book and ordained me a prophet. His blessing is upon me wherever I go, and He has exhorted me to be steadfast in prayer and to give alms as long as I shall live. He has exhorted me to honor my mother and has purged me of vanity and wickedness».
Vaican: God of the Bible and Allah is the same
It is also interesting to note that both Islam and the Roman Catholic Church believe that Allah and the God of the Bible are the same. Quoting from the Catholic Catechism we read:
This is not expressed in public in Catholic Churches, but it is a doctrine of the Vatican. If you dont believe me, juste read Catholic Catechism as it is presented on the official website of the Vatican. Paragraph # 841.
Behold, if you are in a Church which make you worship a false Messiah, You are lost, and will end up in the eternal punishment of Hell. You have been deceived by your priests and teachers, and will be in need of deliverance.
Because the only way into the Kingdom of Heaven goes through the Jewish Messiah, God the Son, Jesus of Nazareth. Only if cleansed by the blood of Jesus, the only blood that can cleanse us from our sins, man can escape the fire of Hell.
